A Fo! All Female Orchestra
A Fo! – All Female Orchestra is a group that Jenni Hanikka has brought together in Aarhus, Denmark 2018. It has members from Mali, Denmark, Finland and Estonia. In the orchestra Jenni plays flutes, sings throat singing and other styles, composes, arranges, etc.
A Fo! combins soulful West-African singing tradition with experimental improvisation, throat singing and irresistible dance grooves. A Fo! bypasses all geographical and cultural borders with their transcending love for music from across the globe.
