Ahavu, folk electronic impro duo
In Ahavu Jenni Hanikka plays together with sound artist Antti Koukonen. Ahavu’s music draws inspiration from ancient melodies, spells and prayers, which leads it’s listener on a mystical journey across the Nordic calmness and Siberian taiga, all the way to the ancient Timbuktu. These melodies merge into a new kind of sound universe with sound artist Antti Koukonen's modular synthetisizers, effects and live loops. This leads to an atmospheric musical experience where audience is taken to the strong embrace of this second reality.
